In addition to a luxury hot towel facial, Japanese face-lifting massage techniques, gua sha, dermal rollers, quartz crystals and facial cupping work on the muscles of the face and lymphatics, to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin from within. Plumping, sculpting, smoothing, and lifting the face, neck, and jaw line, for many, this holistic facial treatment offers a natural alternative to Botox and dermal fillers. ScarWork

  • Hysterectomy
  • Abdominal surgery
  • Tummy tuck surgeries
  • Breast Surgery
  • Open heart surgery
  • Facial scarring
  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement
  • Burns
  • Any many more….

What is ScarWork?

A specially developed therapy for surgery, injury and burn scars. There are very few Therapists trained in the UK who can offer this specialised treatment. Sharon Wheeler who pioneered this treatment over a 40-year period in the US, was herself trained by Dr Ida Rolfe, the founder of Structural Integration.

No oils or creams are used in this treatment. The techniques used are pain free, gentle but effective, breaking down adhesions that can cause restrictions in movement, altered sensation and discomfort. Scar tissue forms because of injury, accident or post-operatively. It is dense, inelastic tissue that is laid down by the body in areas of trauma to heal the disrupted tissue.

How does it work?

Surprisingly very old scars as well as recent scars that have healed can benefit from this treatment. ScarWork and the light techniques used can create better movement between the layers of the skin, fascia (connective tissue) and muscles. The treatment stimulates the circulation, lymphatic and nervous system to encourage renewed healing and promote tissue health.

Visually the scars can appear smaller, lighter, and less prominent. It is what happens in the underlying tissue that can bring about permanent change. Tightness is reduced, muscle function can improve. Knots and tight ropey scars are softened and loosened, ridges and holes can be minimised. ScarWork is not a replacement for conventional treatment. Keloid scars and acne scars cannot be treated with ScarWork. If you are in any doubt, please ask your doctor or consultant to check If you can safely have treatments on your scar.

    What They Say

    Andrew King

    Positive: Professionalism, Quality

"Had another great treatment at Hazlemere Spa today, I see Tracey on weekly basis for Sports Massage. I am runner and run leader at Hazlemere Runners. I run approximately 25 miles per week. Despite a good stretching regime, I need to visit Tracey to help my legs recover from the running I do. The time she spends is invaluable and really helps me avoid injury and maintain good running posture. The treatment rooms are really nice, always clean and the other staff are always friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tracey and her team."

    Laura Cook

"I experienced a fantastic spa evening with some girlfriends. We were all pampered with various luxury treatments we picked from an extensive list. I had a fantastic back, neck and shoulder massage and a pedicure, all done with the most divine products. The treatments were thorough and extremely well done professionally.

We also had a gorgeous and delicious hot & cold finger buffet provided for us (meeting all our fussy dietary requirements), Cocktails, Prosecco top ups and exclusive use of the Spa area were also part of the package we chose, so it was absolute bliss and a great time with the girls. Thoroughly recommend it here - fantastic time had by all! Thank you Hazlemere Spa - I'll be back"
